This project involves extracting records from a Microsoft Access Database, and creating mailing labels. First you will FILTER the list, keeping only records that have a USA USPS deliverable address (see below). Second, you will SORT the filtered records in order (see below). Third you will ELIMINATE DUPLCIATES, using the rules described below. Fourth, you will create one Microsoft Word file, using the Sorted records, formatted for label printing (see below). The DELIVERABLE is the Microsoft Word file, formatted for printing labels as described below. I suspect this is 60-90 minutes of work, for someone who knows what they're doing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PROJECT DETAIL: First you will extract all the records from the Microsoft Access (2010) database, UNLESS you choose to do the filtering and sorting within that application. Then you will apply RULES, so that any record that can not be delivered by the US Postal Service will not be included. Specifically, the only records to keep are those that have a value in these fields: Business_Name Street Address City State Zip_Code Then, sort the resulting record set in ascending Zip_Code order, and within that Zip_Code order, then sort by Street Address order. Finally, send those filtered and sorted records into a Microsoft Word (2007 or 2010) editable file, formatted for printing on Avery 5160 Labels (1" x 2-5/8") 30 Labels per Sheet. The output/deliverable file must be editable, not a PDF, because I will further edit the file after you deliver it. The fields in the Word label file should be arranged as follows: Business_Name Attn: (see below) Street Address City, State Zip_Code Populate the the "Attn" line as follows: If the Attention field in the database is null, then that line on the labels should read: "Attn: Manager" If the Attention field in the database is not null, then that line on the labels should read: "Attn:" and then whatever value is in the database, but truncated so that the Attention/Attn line on the labels does not wrap, to avoid any labels exceeding the space on the paper labels. There are 3,445 records in the Access database. However after filtering, de-dupping and sorting, I expect the actual number of labels to be between 400 and 800.
