Android Facial Recognition Punch

This Android application, when completed, will enable our software to do time and attendance bases on facial recognition with an android device. Actually are product Web Presence ([login to view URL]) can read many biometric devices like Handpunch, and finger print devices. Web Presence is a Web base java server, so development of that new Android application will be java base (Bundle in an Eclipse project. Using maven for dependency management is a nice to have. Use Spring core if you know how to used it). In the future, that new software will communicate, with Web Presence, via Restfull services. However, it is not in the scope of that project to communicate with the Web Presence server. The following requirements describe the first iteration of the facial time and attendance punch. There will be only one screen. The screen will be split in two. The bottom part will display a numeric key pad and two buttons. The key pad will always be available. The upper section will display messages and a background picture. Picture could be a logo or the picture associated with the ID taken from the android device. The first message displayed will ask the user to enter is ID (Id will contain 1 to 5 digits). After the ID is entered the user will select one of the two buttons. First button will display "Register," and the second will display "Get Picture Comparaison Score." Before executing any action from the buttons, the digit input field must be validated. There must be at least one digit enter before any action is permitted. An error message will be displayed if the digits are not valid. If the user had selected "Register" and digit are correct, a picture will be taken with the front camera of the android device. This picture will be saved on the Android file system. The digit previously entered will be associated with that picture for future comparison's purpose. This new picture will then be displayed in the upper section of the screen. So it will be possible to verify if the picture is valid. It will be possible to register with a number already used. If the number is used the previous picture will be replaced by the new one. If a number is entered, and no picture is associated with that number. When the user will try to find a score the following message will be display "The number XXXX is not register please us the register button". If the user is register, the application will compare the registered picture, previously saved, with the current picture of the user. Pushing on the button "Get Picture Comparison Score" will display the comparison score between the previous register picture an the actual picture of the user. This application is not trying to find the user ID of the user in from of. The digit is use to find the picture previously associate to that picture. Generating a score between the actual picture of the user and previously saved picture is the only purpose of that iteration. Again, the main purpose of that application is to test the score algorithm. If the same score is always return with different people using the same digit. There is a problem. Higher score is obtained with the same user and much lower score is generated when the user is different. If no others Api is better, the development of that application will use Android 4 build in native Api for face recognition.
