Android Wear app using accelerometer

We would like to create an android app from scratch that uses the accelerometer on an android wear and a displays a counter on the users phone. We would like to target API 19 (Phone) and API 20 (Wear) and above and the apk should be ready to be uploaded on google play!!!
Milestones:
1) get accelerometer and gyroscope data into dataitem and saved into a database on phone
2) increment ‘count’ when recent dataitem meets criteria and have this display on Wearable
3) finish application, make it ready for google play
We would specifically like to detect certain events using the accelerometer in the Wearable and be able to increment a count variable and have that count displayed on the wearable (and on the phone). This acceleration event contains a first trigger, defined as the absolute value of the X component of the accelerometer exceeding 5 m/s2, that begins logging the accelerometer data at 100 Hz and a second processing step that looks for a Z acceleration that exceeds -7 m/s2. If this value is exceeded, then we would like the count to be incremented and displayed on the Wearable and the dataitem to be saved into a database (on the phone). The 100 Hz accelerometer data will be collected for a period of 3 seconds following the first trigger. One possible way to fill the DataItem would be:
create a new DataItem
- column 1: timestamp
- column 2: accelerometer value x
- column 3: accelerometer value y
- column 4: accelerometer value z
- column 5: gyroscope component 1
- column 6: gyroscope component 2
- column 7: gyroscope component 3
