Car park monitoring App

am developing an android app that monitors parking spaces at different shopping complexes. will have an external database(mySQL), and develop using socketAPI approach (client server). The android phone will be the client, the server will be the intermediary that collects data from the database and return to client on request. Am going to assimilate my own database since its a school project. i have my database wriiten out using notepad++ but dont know how to go about the remaining part.... all i want is

1. i need to connect my database to eclipse

4. the user interface will have a search box to search for a shopping complex

[url removed, login to view] result will be displayed( name and details of shopping complex)

[url removed, login to view] display number of shopping complex, available parking space and spaces remaining

7. will also display details about different stores in the complex

8. will also have a remainder to update spaces remaining every 2min
