Hi, It's feasible developing a NSStatusItem application (NSStatusItem is the Cocoa class that implements what you called menulet [login to view URL]). I'm assuming that the files are text ones (.txt). I need to know how to input the file names and what to do with the icon (this point is not clear to me). Feel free to ask further information.
