We need an app that will run as a background daemon after bootup with/without a user logged in. The daemon is for time tracking of users in an Apple domain using roaming profiles. The daemon needs to detect when a user logs in, check a mysql database (through cURL or other method, such as a REST API, of requesting data from a LAMP server while the mac is sitting behind a nat with no static translations, etc.) to see that the user has time left on their account, and allow them to login if so. During the user session it should be updating the database with how many minutes the user is using in their session. When the user reaches a predetermined time, it will alert the user that they have x minutes left on their account before being logged out with a pop-up alert on the screen and a link to launch a web browser to our account site where users can add more time. Once zero minutes is reached, the daemon should log the user out. If a user attempts to login with 0 minutes on their account, it should deny the user the ability to login.

Hello I am an OS X system developer. I worked quite a lot with launchd and built daemons/user agents for OS X. I also worked with XPC that is used for interprocess communication between a daemon and an agent (the part of the app that can display UI, like popups). I understand you already have the LAMP server set up and the RESTful API ready, and need an app that can connect to it and based on the answer will either log out the user/deny login/allow it/display a popup?

Hello there, Im a daily basis mobile woker; continuous improvement is the road I walk. I feel confident and can handle the whole skillset of the project. I'm experienced in both Obj-C and Swift, but I rather work using Swift since it's what the iOS development community is migrating to. Integrated APIs(Facebook, Twitter, Parse, Mixpanel, AlamoFire, just to name), Mapviews (Mapbox/Google Maps) and PSD slicing are just some of the skills I master. Ive been working for years as a freelancer and simultaneously developed games(Hotel Dash, Garden Dash, Hidden Express..) for a local company. Im located at UTC-3 and available on Skype/Mail the whole day. Would like to hear back from you to dialogue further on the project. Im also ready to do a test task or work a few hours free to show you my expertise. Kind Regards, _BruceG

I am British and based in either Antwerp or Kent, not China or India. I have 29 years commercial software development experience, so am neither a school kid nor a young, inexperienced student. I am not using a fake profile saying I am in one place, i.e. Western Europe, but actually being located in Timbuktu and still charging Western European rates! Your Checklist (for whoever you decide to hire and definitely before you hand over ANY money to ANYONE on the internet) should include: a) Do they have a photo on their profile? OK if they have pitched for only a few projects then maybe they are new, but if they have pitched for more than a few then why is there no photo? b) Is the photo genuine? If their profile photo would not look out-of-place on the front of GQ magazine then I would be at least a little suspicious. - if they look as good as that then why are they not modelling as a living but programming on Freelancer.com for minimum wage? c) Is their stated location genuine? OK if they are only charging Chinese or Indian rates then this is of no consequence, but if they are charging US or Western European rates, then how can you be sure that they are actually where they say they are and not trying to rip you off saying they are in a developed economy (and charging you a premium for it) but in reality they are in some third-world country (but still charging you a developed economy rate).
