**Scenario:** A newspaper company covers events at various locations. An Editor know which events to cover and assigns photographers to the events. Before assigning the photographers, the editor will search for the photographer, check their schedule and send an email. The Email will have accept and reject buttons to accept or reject the assignment. The editor gets emails when photographers accept/reject assignments. The photographers frequently use mobile devices and may not be inside company network.
**Technical details:** This will be an intranet website, the staff search is performed in Active Directory and their Exchange calendar is displayed. The email sent to the photographer will have accept and reject links, since this is an intranet site(but the photographers will not necessarily be logged into the network), clicking on the links will not take them to any page but will invoke web services exposed outside of company. Very similar to the reset password option in most web sites, where they send a link with a guid.
What do we need? The calendering and search functionality is complete. We need the following:
1. The class library that sends email to recipient based on a template. The template has to be abstracted out of the code. There should not be string concatenation to build the email body.? The email will be in html format.? There is no specification? on how to store the template, it can be a .txt or .xml or .html etc. See the attachment for the contents of the email body.
2. Web services that are invoked from the links sent to emails. We need two webmethods(accept/reject) that will accept the guid(s), log it in the database and send an email to the editor who originally assigned the event.
3. Any sql tables needed for persistence.
4. A sample webapp that demo the above functionality end to end.
This project has to be done in C#, ASP.NET 2.0/3.0 and SQL 2003/2005.
We have a developer with us that will be integrating the code you have provided into our existing project.
We have more work coming up in this project and will prefer whoever wins this project.
