Amazon API (make script better) - PHP

I have a PHP Amazon MWS API script that looks up the prices of a list of ASINs/ISBNs from a tab delimited file. It works ok but if I put more than about 300-400 in the file it usually stops and won't finish. So I have had to split the files up. I rather not though. It's possible that the API sometimes doesn't respond so it needs to resend that call and continue. I think that right now it stops if there is no [login to view URL] I am sure that it can be fixed in some way. I want only applicants who have worked Amazon API.

I worked with Amazon API before and I also create a script to look up price base on ASIN/ISBN (it's a book buyback website). I can help you improve your script.

Hi. I suggest that you will try the following before paying for script modification: 1. make sure that the server does support long PHP script execution (so it won't die in the middle) 2. add a log to see the status PHP by definition is not supposed to do long runs, but it can. you just need to make sure you don't exceed it's boundaries - but if you do, just change the boundaries :) If that doesn't help. and your script is running well. I assume that you just need to create a queue from the file and then running on the queue in bulks. Cheers, Ika

Hi, I think it would be best to manage a queue in a browser with JavaScript and call PHP backend script through ajax which would then issue either single request or a smaller batch (5-20) of them.
