Direct Sound Card Interface Using C#

I am looking for code to send samples directly to a sound card using the C# programming language. This code can be in the form of a class/dll library, and does not require any interface. This code can make use of the DirectX (9.0 or above) libraries, but it would be preferable to make use of the existing OS level drivers. Again, this code is to be written in the C# programming language, and will be targeted to operate on Windows XP/2000 environments. The samples that will be sent to this class/dll (and then to the sound card) will be in the form of streaming int16 or double arrays. In other words, the samples will be sent in variable length blocks (i.e. an array variable). This class/dll must be capable of buffering the samples for playback. It is a requirement that this class/dll operate in an independent thread from the main, or test application. The higher level main/test application will be reading these samples from a previously saved file. I can provide a typical (binary) file that will be used to exercise this class/dll. It is possible that scaling will need to be implemented on the samples before sending to the sound card. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
