I wish to hook two mouses up to a computer running XP Pro. I would prefer both be a USB mouse. Below are my requirements: 1) I would like this to work with Microsoft Excel. I would like two people to be able to select menu items and operate mouse buttons and scroll wheels independently. 2) I need to distinguish between the 'Instructor' mouse (mouse #1) and the 'Student' mouse (mouse #2). 3) I need to know when either mouse #1 or #2 moves or uses the scroll wheel. 4) I would prefer that when you plug in the second mouse, that the OS does not recogize it as a mouse when it is connected into a USB port, but rather a new hardware device that i name (for example "Instruction hardware device found".) 5) I would like the source code to be in vba or vb so that i may tweak it as needed. 6) if this is not easy, i would be satisfied to have two mice work with another program, such as note pad, but i would need to know the coordinates (mouse position), button status and scroll wheel activity for each.
