A program which uses an ActiveX component requires a way to catch exceptions that occur in the ActiveX control during normal use. [login to view URL] produces a control (Tx control) with good functionality, but which unfortunately has turned up a number of bugs in it, which cause complete parent program crash. We need to catch the exceptions to be able to save as much data as possible for the user, but have been unable to do so so far. One way to crash the Tx control is to change your computer's Control Panel --> Regional and language options --> Advanced -->Language for Non-Unicode programs to Greek. Then open up the provided 'demo document' that comes with the TxControl dowonload, ....in the start menu options for the Tx control, grab one of the inner cell borders and move it. A crash occurs. Similarly if you write a dialog based app, with a Tx control on it, add a table, and then pull a middle cell divider to one side, it will crash, but only if the language options are set, as above, to something like greek or chinese. We are stuck for a way to capture this exception and others that presumably will be found, so that we can exit gracefully. The first programmer who can confirm that they can reproduce the bug outlined above AND can capture the exception, so that it can be handled appropriately, will win the bid. If possible, send us an exe that we can test to confirm your solution, and AFTER the bid is accepted will expect to be sent source. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Visual C++ version 6.0 or better. working with the Tx Control's ActiveX '.ocx' code must run on w2000 and xp minimum
