We are looking for a developer to write a custom Web filter to use with Microsoft ISA Server 2004 (<[login to view URL]>). All of the samples in the SDK that comes with ISA are in C++. We would prefer this filter be written in C#, so that our C# developers can modify later on if needed. The filter must be able to read a request's HTTP headers, compare the "user-agent" header and redirect the request based on the value found in the header. The value of the http header must be compared against an XML data file or a database. We will provide the code and algorithm to lookup from the source and do the comparison. There will be 2 types of groups. Those requests that match the predefined criteria via the HTTP header I specified above, and those that dont. Those requests that dont, should be transferred to the destination server via a Web Publishing rule. Those that dont, will be transferred to an upstream ISA server for processing by that server. This is all the info I will post here. Those interested can e-mail me at johnny_dev [at] [login to view URL] for more details. **Knowledge Required **To be able to write this, you have to be familiar with how ISA Server works. You must understand what a Web Publishing Rule is as well as a Server Publishing Rule. All of this is easy to learn if you are up for it. Microsoft provides a trial of ISA Server 2004 which can be used for developing and testing this filter. Here is the URL: <[login to view URL]> ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Properly documented code and code must follow general design guidelines such as naming conventions, etc. provided by us 3) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition. 4) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 5) Email me if you need more information or clarification on anything. ## Platform Must be programmed in C# (preferred) or C++.NET (only if you have to) using the Microsoft.NET 1.1. or greater platform. We are currently developing apps in .NET 2.0, if you are capable of using .NET 2.0, we would prefer you to use it. We can provide you with a copy of the Beta version of [login to view URL] 2005 if we have to.
