The application is developed using Visual C++ 6.0 (heavy usage of MFC and Socket based communications). I currently have developed a financial analysis software application that allows the end user to 1) define a search criteria for a set of stocks and 2) for each of those stocks that meet that criteria, have the results returned the requesting client. The analysis is performed by a seperate "processing agent" that can either reside on the local machine or a remote PC. The analysis process requests can be distributed amongst several processing agents. The client writes a scripts that specifies the desired properties for a given series of stocks. The client then distributes the analysis criteria to several "agents", and then agents report back to the client with their findings. Here are my requests : 1) Debug the product's scanning functionality and make sure that the results returned are 100% accurate. 1a) Verify that the scanning system can run indefinitely without any system or logistical errors and/or crashes. 1b) Verify that the analysis requests are distributed properly across multiple agents. 1c) Verify that the stock data is updating correctly and that the data sets on any time frame are aggregated appropriatly. 2) Regression test all portfolio management and stock quotation functionlities to verify that you have not broken any existing features. 3) Reorganize any code to improve the program's overall structure and readability. ## Deliverables 1) Document all test cases performed to verify that the scanning functionality correctly works and that the system will not crash even under long term use. Document the result of each one of these tests cases showing the proper output. 2) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 3) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. 4) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform A _strong_ background in Object Oriented development and experience with C++/Win32/MFC is definitely expected. Don't be surprised if I send you a couple of questions testing you on your skills. The program run on Windows 98/NT/2000/XP All development must be done in Visual C++ 6.0. A license for VSSConnect will be provided for remote access to the source. <[login to view URL]> An account will be provided so that the developer can retrieve up to date stock pricing data.
