Business Directory Web Site

I have a client who wants to build an online directory of local businesses. This will be database driven and maintained with as much automation as possible. Attached is a zip file containing a Word document which outlines most of the functionality, and a PowerPoint document which shows the flow of pages and some of the elements to be contained within the site. Among the features to be included are: - User Accounts - Accounts for merchant advertisers - Advertising - 468x60 banners - 125x125 cubes - Coupons - User Ratings - User Comments - Full administrative capability The client has indicated they'd like the functionality to be smmewhat similar to the Store Ratings section of [login to view URL] (<[login to view URL]>) In addition, the client has a colon-delimited text database file of businesses and a text list of categories to be entered into the site initially. Samples of these files are included in the .zip attachment as well. Preference will go to a developer with experience in developing a dynamic database-driven directory of this type as well as a portfolio displaying strong design skills. Any questions? Please feel free to contact me. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform - Must run on a Unix server (FreeBSD and Apache) - mySQL database - PHP preferred (no .jsp please)
