I have a vehicle registry where folks fill out an on-line form at my web site. I want to take that data and populate an offline database that I can use to manipulate the data in various ways. I then want to be able to export a web page for each year model that I'll then upload to the web site. I would like a text file template that I can easily change (manually is fine).
1) Should mimic the look and feel of shelbyregistry .com sub-pages and be easily customizable).
2) Rceive a data stream from command line. Example: a registration via e-mail inserted into the database. Merge would be performed and any duplication of entries would be displayed for confirmation.
3) The main menu should show a list of vehicles along the total number of vehicles registered.
4) Each vehicle would have its own menu within the application. Clicking on the menu item would take you to a specialize page for particular vehicle.
a) Registration stats. For instance (73 of 500 registered. XX%).
b) Each sub-page should echo the look of it's contemporary on the web site.
c) View vehicle button would allow user to look at and edit each listing in a separate window.
d) Preview HTML web page button. Preview the page that will be exported. This may be combined with the export option.
e) Export to HTML for vehicle. This would create the individual web page for that year model (easily customizable.
f) Some fields will require validity checking.
5) Main menu should give the ability to look-up vehicles by owner or year model and number via dropdown box.
6) Any data that is feasible should use a drop-down box for selection.
7) The ability to create new reports based on user input.
Can send a copy of Access database for reference.
