ActionScript to display number of connections

We conduct live streams using Flash media server 3 and we need a flash applet which shows how many people are currently watching the live stream. So the code needs to figure out how many simultaneous clients are connected at once.

I'm open as to what's the best way of retrieving this info. I know FMS Admin interface shows this, but I need something that shows it on a web page.
