Hello, I'm looking to transfer the layout of my Squarespace site - [login to view URL] - to my Wordpress site - [login to view URL] I have a designer prepped to transfer all the images, but need someone to do the following prep work according to these instructions:
1. Lay out the homepage:
• I'd suggest duplicating the chosen theme's homepage template into the
child theme and manipulating the php instead of dealing with the Wordpress admin
• I'd suggest installing the Advanced Custom Fields plugin and creating a custom field group for the homepage specifically, with WYSIWYG fields for each text-section of the homepage. The Docs for ACF are really comprehensive and will tell you specifically how to echo each individual type of field as necessary
2. Go through and adjust font-sizes, colours, spacing, and image-replacements (logos) all at once
• By saving this step until the end, you'll save a ton of headache because most issues will resolve themselves through the other steps' completion
