client-server automatic download

i want a client-server system.. but i am not sure what language it should be using [ you can suggest the easiest one ].. anyway.. the system should be something like below: server site: ------------ probably the server is a normal Apache server in the server there should be 1 folder listing of all media files [ .avi, .divx, .xvid, .mp3, .mp4, .flv, .jpg, .png, .gif and etc ] and it should be easy to add a new file at anytime on the server.. client site: ------------ 1. when the client opens the site - he should be able to download all the media files from the server automatically without any intervention or user interaction [ free hand download ].... enter the site and all files on the server will be automatically downloaded to the visitor... 2. if there is an update on the server an existing file on the client machine it will be automatically updated to a new version media file from the server by looking at the [ file name, file size, date modify and etc. ]. 3. after the client has downloaded the files.. the media file will be put in the video player playlist [ such as VideoLAN or others ] and automatically plays the media file one by one and will repeat playing all the media files in that folder continuously and indefinitely. 4. the player [ example: VideoLAN ] must play the media file in full screen automatically without any intervention or user interaction. so to summarized the client site tasks without user intervention: - client will be able to automatically download all the media files from the server - client will be able to automatically update any new media file that have been update at the server by looking at: ------ file name ------ file size ------ date of modify ------ etc - client will be able to update the playlist at the Videolan player or others possible player automatically - client will be able to automatically play it and repeat all the media file continuously. - client should play the media file in full screen mode automatically without user intervention Note: 1. client software should be able to have the functions such as - auto minimized on start up, auto start program on start up, auto play on start up, auto re-download/re-check files on background and other useful functions etc. 2. lastly i need the fully identified source code so that i can do the future upgrade later on if necessary.
