I'm trying to get in the same market as the web sites below. I guess that means Virtuemart is the best cart to use. I am an amateur designer so this will be a development project rather than a design project, I will add my own CSS after the project is complete. I'd rather stay away from Flash to make it compatible with apple Ipad's. I have 14 of each letter of the alphabet and I'm making more all the time so I'll need to be able to add products/styles. All our images are in color and we don't offer the option to turn them black and white or sepia. I have 2 frame colors and 2 mount colors (black and white) I may add more if this is successful at a later date.
