Cookie tracking For Affiliate Download Offer

Thanks for viewing... Im an affiliate for a network that pays per download but the network only providers a direct download link that is your affiliate link once you visit the site download starts.. But i want to promote the offer through torrents,emails and other methods but you cant with a affiliate link ,so i need a cookie file or some way to track the download so i will get credit for the download if you have an ideal on how to track the download so i get credit or have a program let me know... i need something like a cookie file that will place cookie before download... so basically i need a way to place my cookie before the customer downloads the software
