ajax google maps - multiple requests

Do not bid unless you read entire details. Javascript expert needed who knows google maps in and out.

Need a simple ajax priority system. users can input various variables to sort listings. once they input a variable (via a form) an onChange calls the xmlhttp request which gets the listings that match via a php page and also loads google map points. The problem is if the map is still loading tiles and the user changes a variable that request is stalled waiting for the tiles to load. I need some sort of an abortRequest() function or system to allow the listings to be updated imediatly aso it either pauses the google map tiles or some how gets priority then loads the listings, and resumes the map tile loading.

kayak(dot)com is an example of this. Do a search for a hotel and change the parameters while the map is still loading, the listings are updated and do not wait for the map to finish loading.

Project goals: Use a minimum amount of javascript to always give priority to updating the listings over the google map tiles. if a use zooms in and then changes a form variable the listing must be accessed instantly and not wait for the map tiles. This can appear to happen with no abortRequest on high speed connections but is amplified with dial up. I only need this priority system and help implementing it into our current system. The javascript needs to be as small as possible and able to fit in one file. Past examples of javascript and google maps coding is a must for all bidders.

Further details and a current working example ( with no priority system ) will be provided to those we are interested in working with.

Thanks,

Chad Smith
