I am assuming that you have some common system environment that's close to default within current Debian distribution. Hi, I have outlined the tasks for this project; I have built several lamp applications (Joomla, Sugar CRM, Sit!, Piwik, Magento, ...) running MySqld either in the same or another server, I have configured email settings on said servers pointing to selected server (or localhost depending on the enviroment). I have Postfix servers to act as edge MTAs and anti-spam/anti-malware servers. I assume that you have control over your domain DNS and are able to setup the required DNS records; I also assume that you will provide root ssh access to this server, so that httpd an MySqld daemons can be installed (if not curently installed). I assume this server is only going to SEND emails (not receive emails), so no IMAP nor POP service nor virtual accounts for emails need to be configured. Likewise, no Antispam (spamassasin, etc. would be required). Tasks: Public DNS records Setup PostFix Configuration Install and Configure Daemons (httpd, mysqld, postfix) Install application and configure mail settings.
