This project is to upgrade an iPhone application called "Molecules". This is an excellent 3D chemical viewing application, but it lacks many important features. I'd like several new features added to it. **** Please suggest a price in your bid. I do not know how much work this project really is! I think the bids will probably be in the $500 - $2000 range, but you may bid whatever you wish. ***** To see the current version of this app, please follow this link to iTunes: [login to view URL] You may download the source code here: [login to view URL]

***** To see the current version of this app, please follow this link to iTunes: [login to view URL] You may download the source code here: [login to view URL] I'd like the following changes and new features: 1) Change the name to "Molecules Pro" and change any references to "Molecules" to "Molecules Pro" (including any images). 2) Add a color key (which atom is carbon, which is oxygen, etc.). It's only necessary to have the most common atoms represented, but I would like this to be in an array of some kind so that I can easily add more atoms with more colors if needed. The color key should be something that can be turned on or off easily. Obviously, I don't want it to "clutter" the display, but I think some users would like to have it as a reference. 3) Fix this bug: When I manipulate the molecule into a static position of interest and then change the view, the molecule is displayed in the new format, but it is spinning again. This means that I have to again reposition the molecule again, which is annoying. If I put the molecule in a static view it should remain there until I tell it to start spinning again. 4) Addition of "Ribbon" view of molecules. In other words, when I'm viewing a protein structure, it's important to be able to see the alpha sheets and beta strands. Alpha sheets and beta strands should be highlighted. Some examples showing Ribbon View of protein molecules: [login to view URL]:[login to view URL] [login to view URL]:[login to view URL] This website shows many popular views for protein molecules, including Ribbon View and the views that currently exist in the app: [login to view URL]~hvensela/yasara/[login to view URL] 5) There are some minor UI quirks that I'd like changed. For example, there are 3 visualization styles in the current application, but only the non-current ones show up in the menu, which I think is confusing. I think that all the visualization styles (including the current one) should always appear in the menu (and also including the new "Ribbon" view which you will add as part of this project. Also, the molecule info page displayed as part of the search is a bit too small to be easily readable. That could be enlarged slightly. 6) Ability to take a "snapshot" of whatever display is visible and email a JPG or PNG. This feature would be called "Export Display". For example, I load a molecule, rotate it, zoom in, change the view to Ribbon view, and then I can export what I'm seeing as a PNG image and email it to someone.

dear bidders: I have updated the requirements for this project slightly - specifically I have removed the requirement to highlight amino acids. This should make the project much easier.
