I am looking for someone that can rewrite a VB program that I developed to allow it to run via a web page or an android app / apple app. (app may be preferrable)
The general premise is that an employee comes to the computer (or their phone) and types in their name. A list of options are then displayed for their "first" level of job/task breakdown. These are static choices. Choices are Job, Break, Lunch, Indirect Labor or End Day.
Depending on which is chosen, the next screen will vary. The main one that we use is the "Job" option. If this choice is selected, their "second" level of choices will be a listing of all active jobs available to work on based on reading a listing from the MySQL DB where "Job is Active = True".
Next level is to select the sub-job (we call it a work order) of all the active work orders for the selected job....once again pulled from the DB.
Next level is work phase (type of task) that can be worked on. There will be two choices for this depending on the type of job that is selected.
I have this program working via a VB program I wrote that reads an Access DB. But I would like to make it "windows independent" by moving to a MySQL db and also to a web or app basis. It currently uses "buttons" so that the employees are using a touchsreen to select their choices. This is the ideal method of user input as opposed to typing in the choices.
