Climos is sourcing a company or individual who can both design and implement a new web interface for our current website at climos.com.
Our goals for the redesign include:
- A more professional look.
- Moving various content to database storage and entry so that the site can be updated more easily.
- Providing administrative pages for each of the content types to facilitate entry.
- Moving more of the content towards the homepage to create a more dynamically changing experience.
- Providing consistent RSS feeds for news, press, blogs, etc.
- Incorporating external news feeds into the site.
- Harmonizing the look and feel between the main site and and the blog (currently running on wordpress).
- Implementing controls on wordpress to screen for spam comments.
- Adding additional content areas, such as: recent scientific papers, videos of climos scientific presentations, etc.
- Adding calendars of upcoming events which also have “ical?? or other standard calendar formats that can be searched and added to a personal google calendar.

Design guidelines:
- Designs should be fixed width, probably no less than 700 and no wider than 950
- Designs should reflect the professional, scientific and environmental nature of the business.
- Our focus is on display of information, choice of font, structure of whitespace and appropriate use of color and small icons or graphics is key.

Bidders should bid on either the design or implementation or both. Migration of existing site is to be included in your bid. Current website is hosted with Aplus.net. Backend runs on MySQL and wordpress and regular HTML. Pls, no Microsoft technologies.
