For a software program we need to be able to play Audio CDs on Mac OS X in Java. It is possible in Windows using Java Native Interface, but we didn't find a way to do it in Mac OS X.
It should be possible through the AIFF files representing the audio tracks in OS X. The problem is however that we can't get these files to play in Java. A possible cause is the fact that AIFF on OS X has a special encoding called "sowt".
If someone knows another way then this is also acceptable as long as it provides the functions we need.
## Deliverables
The player should provide the following methods:
* int getElapsedTime() - elapsed time in ms of the current track
* int getTotalTime() - total time in ms of the current track
* void play() - play track
* void playFrom(double location) - play track from location (0=begin - 1=end)
* void pause() - pause track
* void stop() - stop playing
* void setTrack(int track) - set track number
* boolean isPlaying() - is CD playing
* boolean isPaused() is CD paused
