API + Email Alerts

I need to regularly download all data from the Beatport API and build a web app on top of it where a user can query any artist / label / track / release name and find its current positioning in any genre / releases / overall / dj chart(s). If chosen, a user should be able to enter their email to receive alerts when their chart positioning(s) change. -Preffered SMPT service is Sendgrid -Ideally this would be on Codeigniter framework -The [login to view URL] API is very well documented -A couple other live sites are doing this now, please ask for examples
