We already have a utility written in PHP (and also an equivalent in Python) that reads our binary manufacturing log and populates a MySQL database on our server with these records. What we want now is to write a query that our client software will issue, along with its license details from the product. This will then access the script which will check the DB for authenticity. The program will create an access log of authorization checks. Useful Information will be returned to the calling client such as PASS/FAIL, PRODUCTA/PRODUCT B. The script needs some basic security such as no more than XX checks within YYY period of time from a particular IP or serial number. The original scripts may need minor modification to populate the MySQL DB properly.
