I need a couple of mini-programs written for our business (they might be scripts, or macros, or something else that automatically processes the tasks). I have a 1-page information form (made in PDF) with name, address, + lots of other info in it (from new customers) that all the programs will use as a starting point.
The various processing tasks are described here:
1. The program will automatically open a browser and log into an online website we have a subscription to. The program then makes a few clicks into the right place on this site, and then copies data from the 1-page PDF information sheet (such as name, address, etc, etc) into the site’s form, then clicks to save (or go, etc.). [I have 3 different websites that need to have variations of this same process followed (varying fields are used) in approximately the same way (some have logins). On one of these three sites, the program will need to then copy the page of output from the site into a Word doc and save it into a folder (also created by the script].
2. The program will copy/scrape info from fields within the PDF information sheet and paste it into assigned fields within the first page of a different PDF document. [I have 8 versions of the receiving PDF document, but roughly the same info/fields will be copied and pasted in each.]
3. The program will copy/scrape info from fields within the PDF information sheet and paste it into assigned fields within database software. (we have 2 databases we keep: QuickBooks database (we use version 2012 Premier), and also ACT!)
Please provide suggestions for how I would accomplish this in the most robust, easy-to-use, way. The info that will be copied from the PDF file into the various places is essentially basic identity information and this project is simply to reduce the repetitive data entry of the same info into these various places (of course some variation between each of the jobs however).
Ideally, I would like to have the program(s) be able to select A) the starting PDF file path (the information form is the same form for each new customer obviously), then B) the program we want to run from the PDF (whether one of the 3 web tasks from #1 above, one of the 8 PDF to PDF scripts in #2 above, or from PDF to one of the onine database software pieces in #3 above, then C) select the folder the program will drop the files into (if any, depending on the script), and then D) click - and it’s done per the requirements above.
I’d like someone who can accomplish all 3 types of processing tasks above. I would like this done ASAP as well, and am available all this weekend to get started. Also, I will have several other projects throughout this upcoming year and would like someone who will be around to fix / troubleshoot / etc. in case it runs into problems down the road, and to handle many other projects in the future!
