Dear Campaigner, This project incorporates the use of Xibo Open Source software. Using the source files of version 1.6, we are to customize this software to be able to run a script (already developed) at given intervals. Xibo is a Digital Signage Application based on Server and Client interaction. The Software is complete. However, at the point of media upload, the time of the Media File must be pulled and displayed in a timeline format (like Windows Movie Maker). Upon which a user is able set the script to run and stop at his/her discretion. The script (python based) powers external lighting run from GPIO pins on the Motherboard and works. Xibo therefore needs to activate and deactivate the lights at the users discretion according to the time-span of the media file. Xibo-client will be installed on a Linux Framework.
