Amazon Price Grabber/Scraper

I have a website which I would like to display a comparison price to the current Amazon price. I have an Amazon API, and AWS account. Ideally, I want to create a Cron job which runs Weekly to update a Amazon price field in a table of a MySQL database. I have the table ready to accept data, just need the cron written. I don't care if you use PHP, SOAP, XLM, Perl, wget, or whatever. Initially, I will manually put in the IBSN/ASIN number in the table, and use that in finding the price for my particular products. I might even put in the price at the same time, but I need the CRON to update the price weekly. I can set up the CRON, just need the logic to do it. My budget is small $50 USD. It seems like a fairly easy project, but the API documentation makes it look a lot more difficult than I think it needs to be. I'm looking for a quick and simple solution.
