Hi, I have been developing websites with Joomla since 2008. Lately I have upgraded a number of sites from Joomla 1.0, 1.5 or 2.5 to Joomla 3.x. I have completed some of these projects here on freelancer.com I suggest you check my reviews. I also have experience with the components you mention in your brief such as JomSocial,AcyMailing, JEvnts, SobiPro for instance. As a matter of fact I have completed a project here on freelancer.com that involved replacing SobiPro by an alternative solution to improve performance. The component of choice was Seblod which incidentally also allows to define events, multiple user profiles and integrates perfectly with Joomla ACL. Seblod is actually a full CCK (content construction kit) that extends rather than replaces the standard Joomla data structure. The advantage of this approach is that standard seblod plugins and add-ons normally work with Seblod. This could also be a solution for your project. It would help keep the number of add-ons to a minimum thus avoiding potential compatibility issues and making future upgrades easier. If you combine Seblod with Akeeba subscriptions it would handle most of your needs, possibly even the social networking part and the shop if you want to keep it simple as it is on your current site. However if you want to stick to the component you pre-selected that's also fine by me. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions.
