I have a website which is based on oscommerce. It runs on a mysql database. My supplier provides data feeds in either CSV or DBF formats. The two things I would like to do:
1) Keep the stock levels, Prices and product details (including images) automatically updated from the data feed.
2) Have a way of placing orders easily with the supplier on their efullfillment system. To do this requires an XML feed, which is customised with the customers details, and then ftp'd to the suppliers server. I would like a more user freindly way of sending the xml feed to the supplier, as the manual 'coding' method is prone to mistakes.
I have access to the mysql databases.
I have approached a few web companies, but they always want to sell me a complete new system.AHHHHHHHHHHH.
There must be someone out there who can write a software script for an OScommerce based website.
I must assume that the product codes in your CSV file match existing references in your database, and it is purely an update operation required (not inserting new products).
I can do this.
