We are looking for bids for the following, but we are also looking for an element of consultancy from someone who has an alternative to what we are proposing and who can demonstrate that they can do it. Sorry, but we will NOT look at any bids from people who cannot demonstrate capability. This makes it easier for us to choose the correct person and you are not wasting our time or us wasting yours. We are very serious about what we are wanting to create and there is a big potential for anyone that we choose OK, we are looking at creating our own video player - using something like Mpeg or Quicktime. This player must be able to play normal video formats as standard, and therefore be a replacement to Windows Media Player. This is where it changes also though. We are looking to do the following: 1. the player, when installed on the users computer, has its own "key" - this could be a generated key based on the hard disk serial number 2. A video on the server (linux server) is encrypted using the above key and is then ready to download. This will mean that the video is locked to this specific player 3. The users downloads the prepared video and plays it. When played, the player must automatically decrypt the file and play it. 4. If anyone else try to play the file it will not work as its been encoded This is our plan. We're looking for someone who has capability in this area and who can prove it. It's an interesting project and would suit someone with a broad skillset Let me know your thoughts, questions and comments Thanks
