Converting nearly-finished simple company website to Wordpress and finishing it

We have a nearly-finished simple company website. It is a very simple website, containing only one frontpage, one 'news' or 'blog' page, and a 'projects' page, highlighting a few (~4) featured projects. The frontpage also provides a simple 'recent news' headlines overview and also a summary and picture of a randomly chosen project, in addition to a slideshow that highlights some of the company's services. While the general design and outline is mostly complete, we need the html/css/js code to be cleaned up and tested in all major browsers. Also, the site functionality is not fully implemented. Instead of finishing the site in Joomla, which is the CMS currently used, we'd rather prefer to have it converted into a fully functional and easy-to-use Wordpress site. We are somewhat proficient in PHP ourselves, but unwilling to invest the time to learn the CMS software. To summarize our site expectations and needs: - Frontpage * Slideshow highlighting company's services. * 'Recent news' display * 'Random project' display - Projects * Clean overview of a few selected projects we've worked on (Random project draws project from here). Should be easy to edit and maintain. - News * News/blog entries, clean look and easily navigated. Should be easy and non-technical for an editor to post a new entry, complete with pictures if needed. - Content * We will provide all content ourselves, and expect the site to be easy to edit. - Works as expected in any major browser To accomplish this, we're looking for a talented individual or team who: * has excellent communication skills (English) * uses industry standards whenever appropriate * writes clean code - easy to read, easy to maintain and easy to extend.
