curriculum tool

I am learning php but it's slow-going and I have a deadline...! I work in the public sector (i.e. minimal budget!) and want to make a web-based tool that can be used by primary school teachers to plan lessons based on national curriculum levels, learning focus and skills. I also want teachers to be able to record pupil progress and attainment (i.e. which skills they can do and what level they have reached) by both individual and group and to generate reports (written/graphical) for both individuals and groups. Teachers need to be able to log in via any web-browser. Also, because this is for primary school teachers it needs to be visually appealing and (without wanting to be patronising) easy to use! The administrator (me) needs to be able to upload pupil information e.g. via MS excel: pupil_id pupil_firstname pupil_secondname pupil_school pupil_class pupil_group Teachers need to supply the following information so they can login: teacher_id teacher_firstname teacher_secondname teacher_email teacher_school teacher_username teacher_password For the purposes of planning/assessment these will be the fields: id subject level learning focus skill skill_achieved (y/n) level_achieved (y/n)* *not sure about this one! The teacher really needs to be able to say if the pupil has achieved the level on the basis of how many of the related skills that child has achieved. I can make sql databases and can access these online via my cpanel, it’s the rest I’m a bit hazy about! I may even need a bit of help installing it...
