Attendance Sheet Software

Microsoft Windows 98 to Vista Software to print daily class attendance sheet with bubbles on plain-paper and use ordinary scanner to (automatically, not manually) read, record and total students' attendance. Explanation: In other words, I need bubble-sheet software or something similar that can collect data from paper, using ordinary scanners, without the need for special or bar-code scanners. See sample of paper bubble-sheet attendance sheet in attached zip file. The attendance information on the paper bubble-sheet needs to be transferred, automatically, to the computer. It may be that the paper attendance sheet has to be redesigned to make it easier to computerize the data. What I don't need: I already have an electronic gradebook for entering attendance into the computer. I do not need another computerized gradebook. I need a way to automatically transfer paper attendance records to a spreadsheet such as Excel or an electronic gradebook, using bubble sheets (shaded circles) and ordinary scanners or some other inexpensive OMR technology. Questions: (a) What is the best and easiest way of automatically collecting and analyzing attendance data from paper, about how many classes a student has missed? (b) Can you think of a simple way of automatically transferring paper attendance records (mainly absences) into a spreadsheet such as Excel? (c) Can you design an inexpensive scanner software? This is just a sample and can be changed to make it more computer-friendly. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The program should be able to run on Windows 98 to Windows Vista.
