Need dll that can be easily added to any application vb/c/c++ that will be used for product registration. This dll should have one function that takes two variables - a Program ID to identify which program it is being used in and a web address to submit the info too. The function should return true or false and an error message if false. Once the "protect" function is called, first it should check the registry to see if it has already been registred, (the program id should be part of this registry entery) if it has not been registered before it should popup a dialog box asking for, First Name, Last Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Phone, and CD Key. (The CD Key Should be 12 digits numbers or letters)
The dll will also grab computer Mac address and NetBIOS computer name. Once the dll gets this information it should submit contact info, CD Key, Program ID, Mac, and NetBIOS name, all with simple url parameters to a web address. The web address (which is not part of this project) will give a simple answer "OK" if ok or ERROR: "Error Message Here" If it answers "OK" the function should return true, make some sort of registry entry so it does not run check at startup again. If it gets ERROR: it should display the error, and stop program execution. The app must also check for Internet connection and give an error stating you must be connected to the Internet to use this product warning and an 800 number to call if support is needed.
The dll must be simple to use for other devloperes and clearly documented.
