[If you dont know what Amazon S3 is, here is a link: <[login to view URL]>]
We would like to create an API to a remote filesystem that uses the amazon s3 API for the following commands:
1. GET
2. PUT
3. DELETE
4. HEAD
5. LIST (this is GET on a bucket in amazon s3 jargon).
None of the other features of amazon s3 need to be supported, i.e., there is no per user authentication (there is only one user), no bucket creation and/or deletion, no SOAP, no user management, etc. A plain apache server already provide most of this functionality except for amazon style authorization.
I'm aware of three major pieces of work
1. the server access logs need to be formatted to be similar to that of amazon s3.
2. converting the output of "list folder" to that of the amazon get bucket result.
3. Do HMAC signature verification (all code for this is available at amazon's site for your choice of programming langauge)
A client should be able to use this API instead of the amazon's API.
For testing, we would like to use <[login to view URL]>.
Also for testing, we need a mode to use this in passthrough mode to amazon s3 (just replace the authorization: header and pass the request to amazon s3).
We prefer PHP 5.x but since we do not expect the code to be large, your favorite programming language would do fine.
