Rent A Coder requirements notice: As originally posted, this bid request does not have complete details. Should a dispute arise and this project go into arbitration "as is", the contract's vagueness might cause it to be interpreted against you, even though you were acting in good-faith. Needed:
A horizontal search bar header on all pages, with text box, 'Go', Manufacturers & Categories dropdowns, option to show pics, and min/max price text boxes. We want all product db fields to be searched always. So, all searches only use that header, no other search page will be used. Remove existing Search and Advanced Search links, buttons and boxes. Buyer will submit drawing or sample of desired layout, but it is very simple.
When user types more than? 1 word to find, parse the words and find them separately, allowing one word to be found in one column, and another word in another column.
Allow customer shipping/billing address edits from one-page checkout (checkout page already up), instead of going to separate edit pages. I already have the text fields showing their info, just need to make them editable.
In all search results, add Manufacturer SKU and TechData SKU (TechData provides our db data).
Remove 'Price' before each price. Leave 'Price' as column header.
Data Imports XML Package (this can be completed by Sep. 10):
Write XML Package to transform and import product data from TechData product and price download (see TechData schema in attached file).
If work cannot be done by Sep. 5 (except for step noted above - Data Imports- this can be done by Sep. 10), needs to be stated before starting the work. Adjusted price will be negotiated in that case, and buyer may divert part of the project to another coder for time's sake to meet deadline. Any changes will be agreed upon by buyer and coder before coder is expected to begin.
After these changes are made, we may have the same coder do some more work for us. May be the beginning of long-term relationship!
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
