*Note: this is a re-posted project. this time as a coding-only project (i.e. NO UI / visual design work is required) -- it was posted as coding and UI design project before which apparently is not ideal.
*
The project is building (i.e. coding) a website / web application ("Experimatch").
**Overview**
**A detailed specification and mock-up can be found attached to the project. Detailed designs will be provided at a later (TBC) stage.
**
Experimatch will offer a platform that simplifies the process of matching people who run experiments ("Experimenters") with people who are interested in participating in those experiments ("Participants"). Experimatch is very much like "airbnb" ([login to view URL]) for university researchers:
* Experimenters can create an experiment page in order to get participants.
* Participants can browse for experiments and find experiments which suite them (according to several parameters - location, gender, age, etc.)
* Participants create an account and can then apply to experiments
* The experimenter is then alerted of the new application via email and on the website and can contact the participants as he / she wishes.
The service is free of charge to both parties i.e. no payment is involved at this phase.
**Platform**
A popular, modern and suitable platform (not .NET but more like PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.) should be used for developing the application -- justification for recommended / chosen platform would be desired.
**
**This project / product version is meant to be a MVP (=minimum viable product) which means that it should be working and professional but functionality is deliberately kept relatively simple. It is expected that further improvements, outside of the scope of this project, will be required at a later phase. Please bare this in mind when analysing the scope and bidding.**
