Project: Calendar Overview We want to create a database of events that users can interrogate to find events that are being held according to the following criteria. ∑ By country ∑ By city ∑ By date ∑ By website ∑ By price ∑ By event type ∑ By game type ??" 20 types ∑ By venue ∑ Plus two more fields that can be added later, to refine the search We want users of the database to be able to subscribe to their events of interest, whatever parameters they set using the above mix of criteria, via RSS. We also want users to have the capability to sign up for SMS/text message alerts when events they have registered an interest in are added to the database, or are approaching. So the database will need to drive the software that sends out the RSS feed emails and can manipulate the CSV files containing the SMS subscriber details (our current research suggests this is how these work, but we are open to suggestions) allowing the system to be as automated as possible. The database will drive a website that needs to be simple and quick to understand and use. So users can look for the information via keyword(s). We would also like analytics to be able to study user interface habits and preferences. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Linux
