Create password protected directory and debug html/css on website

This website project has three parts: 1. Create a password-protected directory for our website (single username and password) which leads to a page with a more specific login and information on alternative methods of contact for customers. We have an existing portal page (not attached to our site, generated by our CM software application, see: [login to view URL]) which ideally we would like to integrate into a single page reached through the new password protected directory. 2. Create a comprehensive .css style sheet to control all text formatting on our site. Remove all styles from head portions of each page of our site. .css classes to include: .pageTitle, subTitle, .mainText, .sideBar, .footer, etc. 3. Clean up html coding of site. This includes fixing table alignments so there are no gaps between graphical components, (see attached graphic for example of coding problem in template)and ensuring that menu elements line up with header graphics. Remove any garbage/unnecessary code (eg: JavaScript) which no longer provides functionality The goal of items 2 and 3 is to streamline the coding of the site to increase ease of editing and reading for ongoing maintenance. The site has been worked on by multiple coders and needs to be cleaned up and standardized. Website: [login to view URL] ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform We use Dreamweaver 8 for web editing, including a template responsible for layout of all pages other than the index page. The template must remain functional on our end after clean up. Any cleaned up code should be equally functional on current versions of Firefox and IE.
