Customer Content Management System Interface

We require a simple (single server, no scalability) web based, standalone content management system (CMS). The content management system controls a simple remote pc based network by copying files into a single standard based directory structure (NFS or FTP) which the PCs then access remotely. THERE IS NO DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PCS. The CMS restricts content that can be uploaded based on the user and network configuration e.g. what remote devices the User has permission to access. The CMS will provide a few specialised screens to capture and then generate specific types of output. The system takes 2 major inputs - User configuration file. This defines each user, the type of content they will need to manage and which elements of the network they can access e. - Network configuration file. This defines each PC and how many pieces of content can be displayed on each PC. This is used to restrict the user to how much and the type of content they can upload. The major system output is as follows - Uploaded files from users copied to specific directory structure (as limited by the network configuration file) - Where specific content must be managed e.g. a simple text string must be displayed, the content management system allows the user to enter in text, this is then compiled into a flash file. The following architecture constraints are preferred - Front-end ??" Flash. Our designer will provide layouts and interaction. We may require additional flash implementation for additional screens. - Database backend mysql. - Logic / framework. Ruby or Grails type environment. - Deployment via standardised WAR files. The following Specific Specialised Screens (as per the suggested wireframes) must control entering of specific types of information that is compiled into a single flash file. All other screens just provide the ability to upload content files.
