I could help with your project. 1 - as for the pipe diameter and wall the dimensions are clear, also for the lattice bar, it remains to adjust the triangle side in order to have a complete lattice at 45 degrees 2 - the flanges on top/bottom will have to be a bit larger in order to allow welding of the pipe all around 3 - what type of bolted connection do you want to use - screws going thru the flanges or bushes for alignment? 4 - where/how to be placed the holes for the bolted connection? 5 - at 6m lengths of the tube, usually some gussets are necessary 6 - thickness of the top/bottom flanges? 7 - (also) usually is the pipes/tubes to go thru the flanges, allowing to be welded on both sides 8 - you say about steel cord as anchors - do you want some eyelets into the flanges, or the cords will be simply hanging on the tubes? Hi, You should model your structure with surfaces and use surface meshing in calculation. You can use the attached file. The model is designed with CATIA. I can recreate it with abaqus if you want and make the analysis. Make it with catia would be faster for me.
