Assuming that the cup lid is a geometrical shape it would make more sense to create a highly accurate model through a series of measures (.1 mm accuracy), instead of 3d scanning. The software I will use to create the 3d file is autodesk Inventor Pro 2014. The final file can be then exported to .step, .stl, etc. I will even throw in a few renders of the before and after for free. Hope to be working with you!

I have an expertise in product design as I am a Mechanical engineer. The project will be complete in two days but if there is any deficiency I can rework on the project thats why I take a time of 5 days.
