Presently the light housing consists of a left and a right shell molded in POM and Ultra sonically welded together.
I would like you to come up with a suggestion for a tool design that allows the two shells to be molded in one shot eliminating the need for ultrsonic welding of the two parts.
However, the present design has two undercuts that need to be solved in order for the tool to let go. My own thoughts are that where the shrinkage would occur, counter this with rubber molding to fill out shrinkage areas?
Please see attached part file.
