We need to create a telemetry system to monitor cumbustion in a conventional diesel oil burner/boiler (heating system).
We think an Arduino/Genuino platfrom has the possibilites and is cost effective to do this project. If a better proposal can be made to reduce cost or improve credibilty to the system will be welcome and any advice will be considered if a better suggestion can be submitted.
The whole concept is that we need specific sensors (see bellow) to monitor the combustion proccess and through a software to create alarms whenever something is not ok.
To find out the specific values of any of these alarms the experiment system must have work an initial period time and be monitored manually along with the telemetry system. As soon as we will evaluate the "out of range" indication we can enter these limit values to the alarm system. The algorithms or other methods of comparison the sesnor inputs must be a kind of flexible added at a later point where experiance will be gained through the workind of the telemetry system.
All data should be able to be transmitted either my SMS, or wifi to local internet or ethernet cable connected to internet or sat phone, depending of the location of the system each time. Final destination should be a smart phone and a web page with the right visuals to picturize acquired data. Some formulas will be given from the beggining some other will be added later on and it would be nice to have to ability to add at any time by user and give the visuals and the alarms values.
Any questions are welcome so we can able to build the system in the best way but try to keep the cost low but without affect the quality of the telemetry system

A second sensor to water tempurature was added. This is needed so the calorimeter can calculate the exact calories. The one water temp sensor is installed in the outgoing water piper from the boiler and the other to the returning (incoming) water to the boiler.
The hot water is measure allong with a flow meter and the temp of the returning water, and all these can be formula calculated to give kcal or kw of the system
All sensors will be around main system in the burner/boiler area (let assume 2m max)
The only sensors will reside far enough from the main system are air temp (enviroment) for the inhouse temp and outside temp. In this case depends how far is the house from the boiler-room and from where we need to take the outside temp, either from the boiler-room or completely outside of it.
After much consideration, and all of your kind inputs, we are looking for the benefit of the project to be in the following scheme:
- We need all as described initially and explained inside the project
- We ask additionally to be created a prototype from the freelancer with the sensors, which we can assist him/her to choose correctly informing him about working ranges as far as our experience or knowledge can do that.
- We want to make a system that can be upgraded and build a good relatioship to cooperate and solve any issue or improve the prototype as long as we are testing that in a real enviroment. If that succeed we will continue cooperation for creating better versions and more improved.
