Slow Website Load Times

#257 Hi There I think you're hosting it in AWS, since you've mentioned AWS Tag. I'd like to know about your entire Infrastructure architecture. Coz when it comes to AWS, you can never have a slow website. AWS provides all the nuts & bolts to scale up/down a website based on the load. I'm pretty sure that your app is not configured to take full advantage of those AWS features. BTW I'm a super expert in AWS. I've been dealing with all aspects of AWS for the past 4 years. #257 Hello From what I cant tell just by looking at your site following are things I would change in order to speed page loading up 1) fix 404 and 403 with image loading (looks like static folder on your server is miss-configured) 2) in ALL djanog pages add {% spaceless %}.....{% endspaceless %}. That will shrink the page size down by approx. improving the page load speed 3) DO NOT use plain css or js files, there are their minified versions, all of the css, js MUST be replaced with their minified versions. All of these files on original url are not minified, on staging I can find them being minified 4) Loselessly compress images, that will further shirnk down page size by 35-40% 5) Defer js loading by moving it to the end of the page 6) When displaying an image specify image dimensions 7) Make sure you are using static content gz and caching, looks like you are using none 8) Serve as much as possible content using CDN, right now you are using no CDNs 9) Also, please, there might be some other issues regarding the server configs, but I am unable to tell from here. in order to check server configs I would need to ssh on the server, specially I am worried about postgres and django sessions table 10) Finally, I would make sure all of your code is written wiht optimization rules, cause not all of the code behaves the same Thanks Tope yo hear from you soon

#257 Hi, I have been working with python and django for over 5 years now and know the framework in and out. I have been involved in creating simple APIs using django rest framework to creating automated quiz hosting systems on twitter to full fledged websites and shopify stores to parallelly hosted distributed systems which are being used by MNCs in 12 countries. One thing that usually bottlenecks django or any other web dev framework is the use of ORM. I am pretty sure that will be the case with you as well. Apart from that, the use of best practices of coding and knowing what all functions to process in the main thread and what all is to be handled asynchronously should also be handled properly. Third thing would be to reduce the DB access and the response time by wisely using in memory databases for frequently used db queries. I notice that you have hosted your code on heroku. You can add me as a collaborator to that project and I will be able to help more. As this could be a bigger or a smaller project, I cannot estimate the effort without looking at the code and hence the bid price is purely random.
