I am a 43 year old Kenyan with a strong and lengthy background in advanced, socio-economic, environmental proposal writing and studies which mainly center on the Millennium Development Goals for developing countries. I have just completed ocio-economic monitoring and evaluation study of the 250 mega watt Bujagali hydro-electric power project in Jinja, Uganda.
Other areas of skill include proposal writing, data collection management, design of advanced analytical framework, advanced statistical analyses (PhD level), report writing and monitoring and evaluation studies. Fields of experience include socio-economic studies, health, gender related studies, ICT impact studies, marketing studies, business management studies, environmental management, socio-economic and infrastructural development.
I will avail samples of recent proposals written for Uganda which are still under consideration with international development organizations. Although the proposals were written in Uganda they can be replicated in any developed or developing country but using local data since the development goals of most countries are almost similar.
A unique feature of the proposals is concentration on recent technological advances which are efficient, cost effective, sustainable, environment sensitive, pro-poor and based on MDG goals. An example is the proposed irrigation project in Karamoja region of Northern Uganda. The project uses advanced water harvesting technology for arid areas which does not require grid electricity, rain water, ground or underground water sources.
